  2. Hey Martin,
I like this action research plan. It is so important to find the right PD for teachers. I just found out that our district had a lot of money sitting there for PD for our elementary school to spend. We are a small school district and my principal told me she was informed in May that she had all this money(which was A LOT) for PD, but had to spend it all by the end of June. Needless to say, she could only spend half of it by then and because of that, we won't get it all again to spend through the year. Our district people should have told her earlier that it was there and available. She was under the impression she only had so much to spend.
What I am saying is to check into that early on in the year. Then keep checking back. That is something I will stay aware of this year. If you have that money available, put it to good use. Surveying teachers is a great idea. One grade level informed us that they always go to a resort for a certain workshop training. I am suspicious if they learn anything at all or is it that they like missing a school to go to the resort? These kinds of situations are especially important to look into in the case of limited funds. If you know of any great RTI workshops or webinars, let me know. Thanks.
